One of the most important steps for a community to achieve is demonstrating full support for the principles and policies outlined in this Zero Waste resolution.
The following Zero Waste Resolution has been passed by Delaware County municipalities so far:
- 3/8/2021: Swarthmore Borough
- 4/15/2021: Media Borough
- 4/21/2021: Lansdowne Borough
- 4/22/2021: Nether Providence Township
- 8/18/2021: Upper Darby Township (watch video of relevant parts of the public meeting)
- 10/20/2021: Darby Township (working on obtaining a copy, but approved in October 2021, see middle of pg 6 in this doc, too)

And by the way, we’re not suggesting a formal ordinance. Resolutions are simply an expression of support by a community on a topic of concern.
